Let the words do the talking

Bob Dylan, CAA, East Rutherford, NJ, Nov.16 2006:

1) Cat's in the well
The cat's in the well and grief is showing its face
The world's being slaughtered and it's such a bloody disgrace.

2) Senor (Tales of Yankee Power)
Senor, senor, do you know where we're headin'?
Lincoln County Road or Armageddon?
Seems like I been down this way before.
Is there any truth in that, senor?

3) Rollin' and Tumblin'
Well, I got up this mornin', seen the rising sun return
Sooner or later you too shall burn

4) Positively 4th Street
I wish that for just one time you could stand inside my shoes
and just for that one moment I could be you
Yes, I wish that for just one time you could stand inside my shoes
You'd know what a drag it is to see you

5) It's Alright Ma, (I'm Only Bleeding)
And if my thought-dreams could be seen
They'd probably put my head in a guillotine
But it's alright, Ma, it's life, and life only.

6) When The Deal Goes Down
In this earthly domain, full of disappointment and pain you'll never see me frown
I owe my heart to you, and that's sayin' it true
And I'll be with you when the deal goes down

7) Things Have Changed
People are crazy and times are strange
I'm locked in tight, I'm out of range
I used to care, but things have changed

8) Simple Twist Of Fate
A saxophone someplace far off played as she was walkin' by the arcade
As the light bust through a beat-up shade where he was wakin' up,
She dropped a coin into the cup of a blind man at the gate
And forgot about a simple twist of fate.

9) Highway 61 Revisited
Now the rovin' gambler he was very bored
He was tryin' to create a next world war
He found a promoter who nearly fell off the floor
He said I never engaged in this kind of thing before
But yes I think it can be very easily done
We'll just put some bleachers out in the sun and have it on Highway 61.

10) Spirit On The Water
You think I'm over the hill
You think I'm past my prime
Let me see what you got
We can have a whoppin' good time

11) Tangled Up In Blue
She opened up a book of poems and handed it to me
Written by an Italian poet from the thirteenth century
And every one of them words rang true and glowed like burnin' coal
Pourin' off of every page like it was written in my soul

12) Nettie Moore
Getting light outside, the temperature dropped
I think the rain has stopped
I'm going to make you come to grips with fate
When I'm through with you, you'll learn to keep your business straight

13) Summer Days
Where do you come from, where do you go?
Sorry, that is nothing you would need to know
Well, my back's been to the wall so long it seems like it's stuck
Why don't you break my heart one more time, just for good luck

14) Thunder On The Mountain
Gonna make a lot of money, gonna go up north
I'll plant and I'll harvest what the earth brings forth
The hammer's on the table, the pitchfork's on the shelf
For the love of God, you ought to take pity on yourself

15) Like A Rolling Stone
You used to laugh about everybody that was hangin' out
Now you don't talk so loud, now you don't seem so proud
About having to be scrounging for your next meal.

16) All Along The Watchtower
"There must be some way out of here," said the joker to the thief,
"There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief.
Businessmen, they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth,
None of them along the line know what any of it is worth."
"No reason to get excited," the thief, he kindly spoke,
"There are many here among us who feel that life is but a joke.
But you and I, we've been through that, and this is not our fate,
So let us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late."

Note:
- Piacevole l'apertura della nuova band di Jack White (ingrassato), i Racounters; grande cover di "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)"
- Sorrisi accennati : 2
- Inchini : 2, entrambi di 10 gradi

Potrei dirvi di piu', ma cosa ve lo dico a fare ?
